Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.’s mission is to develop leaders, promote brotherhood and academic excellence while providing service and advocacy for our communities.

To stand for character, integrity, justice, righteousness; well representing the principles of Alpha before an observant society who desires and cries out for such men.
Scholarship
Fostering a culture of academic excellence and lifelong learning. We help youth to pursue knowledge with discipline, to apply intellect toward solving society’s challenges, and to use education as a tool for advancement not only of self, but of the collective.
Love For All Mankind
Practicing compassion, respect, and brotherhood toward all people. We affirm the dignity of every individual, seek justice where there is inequity, and promote unity across boundaries of race, culture, and background in pursuit of a more humane world.

Initiated in the Spring of 1993 through the Epsilon Beta Chapter at Fresno State University, Brother Hawkins is recognized as a devoted leader, accomplished entrepreneur, dedicated father, and committed brother. Guided by his vision of upholding the “One Alpha” mantra, he works tirelessly to unite the brotherhood and strengthen its bonds of unity.
Our Service Areas
The Southern California District of the Western Region
includes the area from Ventura and Kern Counties as the northern boundary, the State of Nevada border to the east, and to the border Mexico. Also included in the Southern California District are the State of Hawaii and the countries of Japan and Korea.
